Thanks to everyone who attended Wednesday morning’s Colorado AMA breakfast and panel event “Doing More With Less: Learning from Colorado Nonprofits.” It was a rich opportunity to socialize with and gain wisdom from other professionals tasked with justifying marketing’s value to the greater organization and constrained by insufficient resources. The impressive guest panel opened a window into the world of marketing from the perspective of nonprofit organizations. There were attendees at the event from both the nonprofit and for-profit worlds.
What was surprising to learn was just how much both worlds have in common. We were reminded that delivering on brand, tailored key messaging, partnerships of all kinds and organizational unity are bedrocks of success.
The professional panel generously shared valuable strategic insights to address our common work challenges by relating stories of actual business cases.
For example, we were encouraged to build something actionable into our messaging whenever relevant. Giving your audience something to do makes your message more memorable.
